Covid-19 Athletics Meet: The coronavirus pandemic hit the world early this year with various sporting activities coming to a halt across the globe and despite the commencement of Athletics events since July in Europe and America, for over 7 months Nigerian athletes haven’t been able to compete, for some, their stadiums are still locked.
But the ever sports loving Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa has decided to organize a one-day meet for athletes across the nation.
140 athletes across 21 events have been invited for the meet which will take place on October 27th at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Interestingly each athlete is entitled to N30,000 transport subsidy and N5,000 for meal while all 21 events to get equal winning Prize.
1st– 100,000
2nd– 75,000
3rd– 50,000.
Arrival date is October 26th and departure Oct. 28th
