Athletic Heat is pleased to announce a partnership with Deft Therapeutic and Cornerstone Therapy, who will serve as the Official Recovery Zone Partners for the Athletic Heat 10th Anniversary Meet, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex, Lagos.
The partnership brings together two distinguished physiotherapy and rehabilitation brands to provide athletes with professional recovery support, physiotherapy services, and post-competition care throughout the event.
With hundreds of athletes expected to participate, the dedicated Recovery Zone will be an important addition to the competition, reinforcing Athletic Heat’s commitment to athlete welfare, performance, and an enhanced competition experience.
Through this initiative, Deft Therapeutic and Cornerstone Therapy will coordinate a team of physiotherapists and recovery specialists to provide services such as pre-race muscle activation, post-race recovery massages, full-body stretches, and immediate support for athletes experiencing physical discomfort or acute injuries.
The Recovery Zone will be equipped with massage tables, a designated canopy area, chairs, therapeutic supplies, kinesiology tape, sprays, bandages, and ice packs. The physiotherapy team will also work in coordination with the competition’s official medical personnel to ensure an organised approach to athlete care and emergency response.
To ensure accessibility and effective crowd management, athletes seeking scheduled recovery and full-body stretching sessions will be able to register in advance, with registered athletes receiving priority. A token-based arrangement will apply to scheduled recovery sessions, while emergency and injury-related assistance will be provided free of charge, without requiring prior registration.
Speaking on the partnership, Athletic Heat expressed its excitement about bringing professional recovery services closer to Nigerian athletes, noting that athlete welfare remains an essential part of delivering a successful competition.
The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Athletic Heat, Deft Therapeutic, and Cornerstone Therapy to creating an environment where athletes are not only given the opportunity to compete but are also supported in maintaining their physical well-being.
Athletic Heat 10th Anniversary Meet, themed “10 Years of Impact. A Legacy That Keeps Running,” will bring together athletes, coaches, sports administrators, partners, and athletics enthusiasts for a celebration of Nigerian athletics and a decade of impact through sports media and athlete development.
