Birmingham 2022: Nigerian duo caps it off at CWG with double Gold

World record holder in the women’s 100mh took the win in the finals in a blistering 12.30s confirming that her times in Eugene two weeks ago were no fluke.

She was unarguably the favorite and rose to the occasion as she swept through the barriers smoothly and crossed the line clear from the rest of the field.

She later came back with the Nigerian 4×100m quartet and running the lead off and together, they claimed the gold medal running a new national and Area Record of 42.10s.

World Silver medalist in the women’s long jump Ese Brume delivered a good series as she claimed the gold leaping to a massive 7.00m retaining her title.

Her consistency undoubtedly is unwavering and she’s proven she’s got what it takes to be the best in the event.
