Caleb Interhouse sports produce future Nigerian champions

The 22nd edition of Caleb International college’s interhouse sports is set to hold on Wednesday, Feb. 27th at her school premises in Magodo, Lagos and its with great excitement that we wish to announce that the organizers of Athletics in School Program (AISP) has been invited for the event.

The event which brings limelight to the spirit of teamwork, reliance, endurance, determination, and a winning spirit amongst the students will have AISP role model, Oyeniyi Abejoye as its Sports Personality of the day.

In a letter addressed by the Chairman Sports Committee on behalf of the school, he stated that “we are aware of your achievements and in recognition of your commitment to sports and youth development, we are inviting you as Sports Personality of the Day.”

Part of Oye’s duty on that day will include warm up of the students and give a speech to encourage the parents about the essence of combining school and sports.

AISP which is organised by two of the major Athletics blog sites in Nigeria, Athletics Heat Ltd in partnership with Nigeria Athletics, is targeted at promoting Track and Field culture among Nigerian secondary school students. The first edition was held in September 2018 and we visited CMS Grammar School and St. Finbarrs College.

With this partnership, the organizers hope to expand and make it a nationwide project where more schools will be covered not just in Lagos State but across Nigeria, with other top Nigerian athletes serving as models and inspiration to the students.

Huge appreciation goes to Yesir Foundation, coming on board as the major sponsor of this edition, while more partners and sponsors are welcomed in our follow up editions.
