Divine Oduduru runs 3rd fastest Indoor 200m of All Time

Who says lightning can’t strike twice in the same place?

Divine Oduduru has continued his winning streak in the US after winning the 60m final at the Big 12 Championships in a time of 6.54s. The Delta-native went on to win the 200m in a World & NCAA Lead as well as School, Facility and Championship record of 20.08s.

Oduduru, became the second collegian ever to break 20.10, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)

The Texas Tech student ran from lane 6 to secure the title which he won in 2018. This just shows what we should expect from the Sophomore when the Outdoor season starts. We smell 19s in the air! (Fingers crossed)

Interestingly, Divine is the defending Big 12 outdoor Champion in the 100m and 200m. At the last indoor Champs, he outran the rest of the field to secure the 200m title while finishing 2nd in the 60m.

We wish the reigning NCAA 200m Champion the very best in the Outdoor season.
