It comes with so much joy knowing that you win a medal for your nation but it’s more exciting when you become a history maker
Few hours ago, Nnamdi Chinecherem won a Bronze medal in the men’s Javelin event at the ongoing World U20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya with a distance of 74.48m which was about 4 meters lower than what he threw in the qualifying round.
Nnamdi threw a National U20 Record of 78.01m to become the favorite leading to the final.
Speaking with theathleticheat.com after his performance he said it’s a technical event and anything can happen.
He now has the Bronze medal from The All African Games and now the World U20 Championship.
