Nigerian student-athletes at Middle Tennessee State University opened their Outdoor season at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
National Junior Shot Put Record Holder Isaac Odugbesan transited his magnificent performance in the indoor to outdoor as he claimed a first-place win in the men’s shot put notching a 17.66m distance.
Cecilia Francis posted an 11.84s to secure the 3rd position in the Women’s 100m. She later teamed with Edidiong Odiong, Castor and Mensah to finish 5th in the Women’s 4x100m stopping the clock in 45.89s.
While in the Men’s 4×100-meter Relay, Arinze Benjamin and Fabian Edoki alongside Hugle, Petty ran 42.01 to place 5th.
We recall that at the C-USA Indoor Championships in February, Odugbesan and Edoki both won Gold medals in the Shot Put and Long Jump respectively. Cecilia clinched the Silver in the Women’s 100m.
