Nigeria’s national record holder in the women’s high jump, Temitope Adeshina, has been unveiled as the sponsor of the event at the Athletic Heat 10th Anniversary Meet, scheduled for November 7, 2026, at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex, Lagos.
Adeshina, who holds Nigeria’s national record with a personal best of 1.97 metres, has established herself among Africa’s leading high jumpers through her performances on the collegiate and international stages.
The Nigerian star enjoyed an outstanding 2026 season, winning both the NCAA Division I Indoor and Outdoor High Jump titles. She also claimed victory at the Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships, further underlining her consistency at the highest level of collegiate athletics.
On the international stage, Adeshina represented Nigeria at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, where she won the bronze medal in the women’s high jump, clearing 1.90 metres in wet conditions. She has also represented the country at the African Athletics Championships, continuing to fly Nigeria’s flag on the continental stage.
As part of her sponsorship, Adeshina will reward the top four finishers in the women’s high jump with the following prize money:
